Sol caribeño y una finca de girasoles! Guánica, Puerto Rico!
Entonces, hace unos días fui de “road trip”al sur con una querida amiga que estaba de vacaciones en Puerto Rico. Uno de los muchos lugares que había visto en las redes sociales y fotos era la Finca el Girasol, que es básicamente una granja dedicada al cultivo y cosecha de Girasoles, sí, ¡GIRASOLES! Imagine estar en un terreno con el sol caribeño encima y una hermosa vista de los altos y florecientes girasoles. Esta es la imagen exacta que obtendrás al visitar la granja en Guánica. Esta es una de las muchas atracciones turísticas que ofrece el sur, la visita a la granja es gratis (solo pagas una tarifa de $2 por vehículo), búscalos en Facebook y programa un viaje, tendrás la oportunidad de ver diferentes tipos de métodos y productos agrícolas en suelo guaniqueño y, por supuesto te llevarás algunos cuantos a tu hogar, ya que venden todo tipo de verduras y flores allí. Además cuentan con facilidades de baño y venta de meriendas para refrescarte. Entonces, si por alguna razón pasa por Guánica, has una parada y disfruta de un momento con la naturaleza. Tengo que decir que la vista es simplemente increíble, y por supuesto es otra gran oportunidad para hermosas fotos. Así que súbete a tu auto, enciende la música, baja las ventanas y ve a Finca el Girasol. Oh! Además, no olvides que Guánica tiene muchas playas hermosas, ¿así que por qué no hacer una parada en Playa La Jungla? Una playa casi paradisíaca con pocos visitantes y un camino rocoso. Todo vale la pena al final… ¡disfrútalo!

So, a few days ago I went on a road trip down south with a dear friend who was vacationing in Puerto Rico. One of many places she had seen on pictures was Finca el Girasol, which is basically a farm dedicated to the cultivation and cropping of Sunflowers, yes, SUNFLOWERS!
Imagine being in a place with just the Caribbean sun on top of you, and a beautiful sighting of tall blooming sunflowers. This is the exact picture you’ll get when visiting the farm at Guánica. This is one of many touristic attractions the south has to offer, the visit to the farm it’s free (you only pay a $2 fee per vehicle) go find them on Facebook and schedule a trip, you’ll have the opportunity to see different types of agriculture methods and products over the guanican soil and of course you’ll get some home since they sell all types of vegetables and flowers over there. Plus they have bathroom facilities and all types of snacks to freshen up. So if for any reason you pass around Guánica, please make a stop and enjoy some time with nature. I have to say the view it’s just amazing, and of course it’s another great stop for “photo-ops”. So hop on you car, turn the music on, roll the windows down and go visit Finca el Girasol. Oh! Also, don’t forget Guánica has many beautiful beaches so why not make a stop at Playa La Jungla? An almost paradisiac beach with not much visitors and a rocky road. All worth it at the end, enjoy!
